Realme has recently outed several teaser images about its newest Android smartphone, with the most unique feature being its wireless magnetic charging capability.
Two images were posted on the Realme CEO’s Twitter page and showed how it would be thinner and faster compared to Apple’s MagSafe technology. Madhav Sheth says MagDart will be around 4.4 times better, but since there’s no other magnetic charging around it must mean Apples’.
The device is expected to be revealed come August 3. Rumors say that there might be a ‘thin’ and ‘regular’ charger variants, with the thin model expected to have lower charging capacity but a compact and portable form. The regular model is boxy and is said to have fans built-in to keep temperatures relatively cool.
In the fast wireless charging genre, there are other manufacturers that have the capability. Recently, Xiaomi introduced an 80w charging stand that’s exclusive to China, while Oppo and Huawei have their own fast chargers at 50w.
